Event Time Details Tie break
Golf 09:00 Nine holes of strokeplay golf are to be played at Abbey View golf course, behind Westminster Lodge, St.Albans. No handicaps. Lost balls incur a one stroke penalty, with balls being dropped in the rough a club's length from the edge of the trees (assuming that's where the ball went missing)! Balls can be moved from ground under repair or near staked trees without penalty. Matchplay result will be used between tied competitors, then most parred holes, then most bogied holes. If this is tied still, a putting competition will be used. After matchplay and parred and bogied holes, contestants tied for 6th to 10th place will share the points.
Gym tests 11:30 Total number of press-up in one minute, combined with total number of step-ups in one minute. For a valid press-up the contestant must touch the adjudicator's fist with his chest and then push back up to fully extend his arms. Knees must not touch the ground.
A valid step up is from a starting position with both feet on the ground. The contestant must then step onto the tree stump one foot at a time and then step back to the ground. Both feet cannot be out of contact with either the floor or tree at the same time.
Tied contestants will share the points.
100m 12:00 An approximate 100m sprint. Video evidence will determine final positions.
Basketball 12:15 Total baskets achieved from six static shots in different positions around the basket. In the event of a tie, there will be a 'shoot off'. Contestants tied for 6th to 10th place will share the points.
800m 12:45 An approximate 800m - competitors must race around a distant tree and back again. Video evidence will determine final positions.
Football 13:00 Each contestant has five attempts to dribble around two traffic cones and then score. When the player has gone around the last cone, the goalkeeper may come off his line and try and save. Competitors take it in turn to go in goal, although not everyone will be in goal against every person. Five people, determined by position in the previous round will go in goal, with the remaining four people collecting balls, timing and scoring. Goalkeepers will rotate against each competitor. In the event of a tie, times will be used.
Darts 15:00 Six dart totals. Everyone will play everyone else in individual matches of highest six dart totals. The results will be tabulated, with three points for a win, one each for a draw and nothing for a loss. Points difference in each game will be used to determine final league positions in the event of equal points. If players are tied on league points and point difference the result of their individual match will be used. If this was a tie, there will be a playoff. If more than one player is tied, an mini league will be devised. There cannot be a tie.
Pool 16:15 An eight-ball pool league - everyone plays everyone once. Games will be played according to the English Pool Association's official rules*. The league is scored as 3 points for a win and no points for a loss. One bonus point is available if a) you win and your opponent pots one or fewer balls, or b) you lose but have potted all your object balls.
* The main difference in these rules and our normal games is that from the break four object balls must hit the cushion if no balls are potted, and in a normal shot either the cue ball or object ball must strike a cushion if no ball is potted. There are two shots on the black at all times, unless a foul is committed when both players are on the black, in which case it is only one shot.
If two or more players are tied on points, a mini-league will be used to determine results between those competitors.
